Dementia & Caregiver Support

The Dementia Caregiver Support Specialist is a person employed by the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Washington County who is responsible for assisting individuals and families living with dementia to continue to be active in their community and remain in their homes for as long as they are able.

The Dementia Caregiver Support Specialist provides information and assistance about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Specialist also ensures the ADRC staff and those of other county programs are knowledgeable about dementia and are prepared to meet the needs of people they serve in a supportive, helpful manner.
