A 17-year-old Town of Farmington male was charged as an adult and released from custody on a $10,000 signature bond in Washington County Circuit Court on Monday with Second Degree Reckless Endangering Safety and Fleeing, both felonies. He was also cited for marijuana/paraphernalia possession. Dresden Fritsch was arrested early Saturday morning after Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop him. A patrol sergeant was driving on I41 in the Village of Germantown when he observed a car approaching him from behind at a high rate of speed around 1:30 am. As the car approached the squad the speed reduced drastically. The squad exited USH 45 near Pioneer Road and re-entered the highway immediately and observed that the vehicle had again drastically increased speed. Dresden’s car was paced at 90 mph.

On 01-27-2024 at 1:52pm, the Washington County Sheriff's Office Communication Center took a 911 call reporting a farm accident on Cty Hwy E near Hwy CC. Deputies, along with Hartford Fire and Rescue began responding to the location.

TOWN OF WEST BEND, WI - At 8:14 AM on January 16, 2024, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the 5700 block of Debbie La in the town of West Bend at the request of the West Bend Police Department. The police department was actively investigating a violation of a temporary restraining order that allegedly included pointing and placing the barrel of a handgun directly onto a victim.

On January 17, 2024 at approximately 2:19 am, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a house fire at a single family residence in the 3600 block of Mayfield Road in the Town of Polk. The fire was reported by the property owner. The caller advised there was an electrical fire in the attic of the two-story residence. The caller was able to use a fire extinguisher to assist in suppressing the fire.

On Thursday, January 4, 2024, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were conducting follow-up investigation with our colleagues from Wisconsin State Patrol regarding the whereabouts of a 43-year old Rockford, Illinois male that is a wanted fugitive (two extraditable arrest warrants from Illinois) that was also identified as the alleged operator of a vehicle involved in a high-speed pursuit with Wisconsin State Patrol and Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies on January 2, 2024

Washington County Sheriff’s investigators remain on the scene of a fatal semi versus pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 41 at Sherman Road in the Town of Polk at around 7:45 am this morning. Northbound I41 remains closed at this time at is expected to be closed until at least 1 pm.

A thirty-five-year-old Germantown man was charged in Washington County Circuit Court on Tuesday with attempting to trick and extort victims into sending explicit photographs by posing as a Washington County sheriff deputy and a local attorney. Daniel Anderson now faces several charges including extortion, impersonating a police officer, and disorderly conduct. Anderson was arrested on December 22nd by Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigators after nearly a month and a half-long investigation.

On Monday, November 20th, 2023, investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Division, in partnership with investigators from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force and Racine County Sheriff’s Office, made a second arrest in the suspected fatal fentanyl overdose death that occurred in the Village of Kewaskum on November 9th, 2023.

Investigators with the Washington County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Division arrested a 26-year-old City of Racine man on Thursday in connection with a probable fatal fentanyl overdose in the Village of Kewaskum that occurred the prior day.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested four suspects in connection with the October 17th armed home invasion in the Village of Richfield on Friday, October 27th. The first two were taken into custody during a search warrant with the assistance of the Milwaukee Police Department Tactical Enforcement Unit early Friday morning. The other two suspects were arrested later the same day with help from the Milwaukee Police Special Investigations Division and the Wauwatosa Police Department. The names of the suspects are not being released at this time as they have not been formally charged. The two suspected of entering the residence armed with loaded firearms are 18- and 19-year-old men from the City of Milwaukee. Two women, both age 18, were arrested for party to a crime for their involvement in the invasions.

On Friday, October 27th at approximately 4:21am, the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of STH 33 and Hilltop Dr (Town of Addison) for a report of a semi tractor trailer engulfed in flames. The uninvolved caller advised the trailer portion was engulfed in flames and that the uninjured semi tractor operator was disconnected from the trailer.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, shortly before 2:00pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen who was boating on Pike Lake, and advised they believed they located the lost boater from Wednesday’s incident submerged underwater.

On Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, at 9:06 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a request to check the welfare of a boater on Pike Lake in the Town of Hartford. The caller reported that her eighty-year-old husband had gone out to the lake several hours ago but had not yet returned home.

As Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigators continue to diligently pursue leads in last night’s home invasion robbery in the Village of Richfield, we want to provide additional details on the incident to the community. The home invasion occurred in the Nob Hill Drive subdivision north of CTH Q in the Village of Richfield. Three younger black males were observed in the subdivision for at least an hour before the package was delivered a little after 5:00 p.m. It is believed that they were in the area waiting for the anticipated delivery of the package and were observed in what is described as a dark-colored newer SUV, possibly a Chevy Equinox. The male suspect who went up to the house and originally confronted the homeowners is described as a shorter/skinnier black male around 18 years of age wearing a yellow traffic vest. He was observed on foot in the subdivision leading up to this incident as well.

On Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, at approximately 5:25pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an attempted strong-armed robbery in the Village of Richfield. The caller reported receiving an unexpected package from UPS. After a resident brought the package inside, a black male wearing a gray sweatshirt and orange Hi-Vis vest knocked on the door. The suspect advised a package was delivered for him at this address. He attempted to force his way into the residence to take it. A physical confrontation occurred between the suspect and the residents. The suspect then fled the area.

On Monday, October 16th, 2023, at approximately 9:48 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential fire in the 4100 block of Hy 175 in the Town of Polk. The caller on scene reported that the fire had started in a garbage receptacle located outside of the residence and had spread to the home.

On Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at 1:32PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash located on Kettle Moraine Dr. north of County Highway H in the Town of Kewaskum. Deputies responded along with personnel from Kewaskum Fire Department, and West Bend Fire Department rescue.

On September 14, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a barn fire in the 4600 block of Highway 167. Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with the Richfield Fire Department. Richfield Fire Department requested MABAS response from Jackson, Lisbon, Merton, Slinger, Sussex, Pewaukee, Germantown, Hartford, St. Lawrence, Newburg, Cedarburg, and Allenton Fire Departments.

On 08-04-2023 at 5:18pm, the Washington County Sheriff's Office Communication Center received reports of a fire at Badger Burger Company located on Hy 175 in the Village of Richfield. Sheriff’s Deputies and Richfield Fire were subsequently dispatched to the scene. Dispatch was also advised that the occupants of the business had all evacuated.

On 07-30-2023 at approximately 3:57pm, the Washington County communication center began receiving calls about a motorcycle versus car accident on Cty Hwy E between Cty Hwy CC and Powder Hill Rd. Washington County Deputies and Hartford Fire and Rescue were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

A forty-five-year-old City of West Bend man was arrested on Friday for allegedly capturing unlawful images on a hidden camera mounted underneath a bathroom sink at Froedtert Hospital in the Town of Polk. The suspect, who was a Froedtert I.T. employee, admitted to investigators he has been placing the camera inside the same bathroom for the past several months and then saving some of the captured footage.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested a 35-year-old Village of Newburg man early Wednesday morning on numerous felony charges for allegedly possessing, sharing, and soliciting child sexual abuse material. Michael Westphal was taken into custody without incident after a traffic stop as he left his Newburg residence. A subsequent search warrant was served on the residence looking for evidence of these crimes.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the 10th traffic fatality of 2023. Today at approximately 11:49am the Washington County Dispatch Center received a report of a single motorcycle crash on Hubertus Road in the area of E. Murray Lane in the Village of Richfield.

On Friday, June 23, 2023, at 6:09PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle crash located on Division Rd south of Cty Tk NN in the Town of Jackson. Deputies responded along with personnel from Jackson Fire Department, and Flight for Life

On June 21, 2023, at approximately 11:40 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center was notified of a motorcycle versus car crash in the area of Highway 167 and County Trunk K in the Town of Erin. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office along with the Richfield Fire Department responded to the scene. Upon arrival of the first deputy, it was determined that a northbound motorcycle struck a southbound passenger car. The operator of the motorcycle was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene. The operator of the passenger car displayed signs of impairment, and was arrested for Operating While Impaired.

Washington County Sheriff’s investigators have made an arrest in connection to a bomb threat that was called into Quest Engineering Inc. in the Village of Richfield on May 31st. Dmarion Hatten Nash, a nineteen-a-year-old City of Milwaukee man and former employee at Quest Engineering is alleged to have called in two separate bomb threats on May 31st to his former employer. The caller reported that there was a bomb in the building, and they had one hour to evacuate, or the bomb would be detonated. Nash was arrested on Monday afternoon with the assistance of the Menomonee Falls Police Department. He allegedly resisted officers’ attempt to take him into custody and now faces resisting arrest and criminal damage to property charges in Waukesha County as well.

On Tuesday June 20, 2023, at approximately 2:51 pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire at 3943 Oak Ave in the Town of Polk. The caller reported a trash can on the exterior of the residence had started on fire and the fire had spread to the residence.

Washington County Sheriff deputies arrested two men from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Saturday after they allegedly broke into numerous cars at a park in the Town of Addison. They remain in custody at the Washington County Jail. The men are believed to be involved in similar thefts at a church in Dodge County earlier in the day. Evidence also shows that the two men had been in the Denver, Colorado area only two days before, potentially committing similar thefts. The suspects had multiple credit cards and IDs belonging to victims from across the nation. The arrests came after an observant Washington County deputy saw that their car matched a vague description of a possible suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop because of illegal window tint.

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at approximately 12:21pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 144 and Cty Tk H in the Town of Farmington. The first caller advised the crash involved a tractor-trailer livestock hauler which struck a small sport utility vehicle. Fire & Rescue from Kewaskum and Boltonville were immediately dispatched to the scene along with sheriff’s deputies.

On 05/21/2023 at approximately 7:23pm, the Washington County Communications Center began taking 911 calls reporting smoke and flame coming from Oak Creek Wood Products, which is located alongside Hwy/I-41 south of Slinger in the Town of Polk. The first responding Deputy observed dark smoke coming from the area while still en route. Slinger Fire was subsequently paged to the scene.

Today at approximately 12:21pm the Sheriff’s Office received reports of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 144 and Cty Tk H in the Town of Farmington. The crash involved a tractor-trailer livestock hauler and a passenger vehicle.

Jakobie Timblin, a 34-year-old Richland Center man, was arraigned in Washington County Circuit Court last month on two felony counts regarding his alleged involvement in a stolen military valor case that was investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with providing false statements regarding military service with intent to commit a crime and theft by false representation.

On Monday April 24, 2023, at approximately 10:40 am the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire in the 5800 block of Hillcrest Drive in the Town of Addison. The homeowner reported that smoke was coming out of the basement and everyone was out of the residence.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the third traffic fatality of 2023. On Monday March 27, 2023, at 1:15 pm the Washington County Dispatch Center received a report of crash at the intersection of Highway 33 and Alpine Dr involving 2 cars and a semi-truck.

On 03/23/2023, Washington County Communication took a report of a residential chimney fire on Highland Drive in the Town of Farmington. Boltonville Fire and Sheriff’s Deputies were subsequently dispatched to the residence.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances that resulted in a forty-one-year-old St. Anthony man and his twenty-nine-year-old wife being found deceased in their residence on Friday afternoon in the Town of Addison. Authorities received a call from a roommate who discovered the couple dead inside the house.

The Town of Erin St. Patrick’s Day parade will be held on Friday, March 17th. The parade will begin at 11:00 AM. Starting at 10:00am, no vehicle traffic will be allowed on the parade route. Only pedestrian traffic going to the parade will be allowed to pass barricades on CTH K. Pending vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the parade route, the 10:00am time may be adjusted. The Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Town of Erin, has taken steps to ensure that the parade route and surrounding highways will be as safe as possible for motorists and pedestrians.

A sixty-seven-year-old Town of Wayne man has been charged with ten counts related to allegations of mistreatment of animals stemming from a Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigation that resulted in 34 dogs being seized from a Town of Wayne property in late January. Russel Quaas will appear in Washington County Circuit Court on April 3rd to face the allegations.

On March 3, 2023, at 1:08 pm, the Washington County Sheriff Communications Center took a call from a mother reporting that her 32-year-old son was lost in the Jackson Marsh. The son reported being very wet, extremely cold, and unsure of his location.

On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 6:33 am, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls reporting a semi crash in the south bound lanes of Interstate 41 north of Highway 145.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at about 11:30 am the Washington County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a phone call reporting a pickup truck had possibly broken through the ice and sunk into the north end of Big Cedar Lake.

Willie B. Johnson was taken into custody this morning by members of the Milwaukee Police Department Fugitive Task Force at an address in the City of Milwaukee. Johnson is wanted by Washington County authorities on numerous felony warrants for his alleged brutal attack on a female companion that occurred over a several-day period in December 2022. This attack occurred in the Town of Barton. Johnson had been released by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections from prison on supervision status just weeks before the December attack. Investigators with the FBI, Milwaukee Police Department, and Washington County Sheriff’s Office have been working diligently in a collaborative effort since late December.

On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, a 29-year-old Germantown man and a 27-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for their involvement in a several month’s long investigation into the Delivery of Cocaine occurring in the Germantown area. On several separate occasions, the 29-year-old Germantown man delivered cocaine to undercover officers.

On Friday February 3, 2023, at approximately 9:54 am an off-duty Slinger Police Department Lieutenant was driving by the farm located at 3573 Sherman Road in the Town of Polk and noticed heavy smoke coming from a barn on the property. The Lieutenant investigated further and found that the northeast corner of the barn was on fire and immediately notified the Sheriff’s Office

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the second traffic fatality of 2023. On Thursday February 2, 2023, at 8:19 am the Washington County Dispatch Center received a report of a vehicle possibly in the tree line on the south side of Turtle Road west of Level Road in the Town of Hartford. Prior to the arrival of deputies, a second caller reported a vehicle with heavy damage in the same area with a deceased male driver.

Washington County Sheriff’s investigators continue to investigate the circumstances around the death of an inmate at the Waukesha County Jail that occurred on January 17, 2023. The deceased is 34-year-old Randy Glenn Jr. from the City of Milwaukee.

On Wednesday January 25, 2023 at approximately 10:40 am the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a barn on fire at 5917 Cty Tk Y in the Town of Trenton. The caller reported that the inside of the barn was fully engulfed and that the animals were being moved outside.

ADDISON, WI. - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Sunset Drive in the Town of Addison on January 19, 2023 at 9:24 p.m. after receiving a report of a male subject armed with a knife attempting to stab multiple individuals

On 1/4/2023 at approximately 4:26pm the Washington County Communications Center received a phone call from a Town of Jackson resident indicating a subject had come to their front door requesting to use a phone. The subject made a short phone call using the homeowner’s cell phone and after the subject ended the call, he made threatening statements toward the homeowner. The homeowner indicated the subject left on foot and provided a physical description, clothing description and direction of travel for the subject. The homeowner also recognized the subject as a registered sex offender who resided at 1725 Cty Tk NN in the Town of Jackson.

On Wednesday January 11th 2023 at 5:30 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a 2 vehicle motor vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Cty Tk K and Donegal Rd in the Town of Erin. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and personnel from Richfield Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene.

On Wednesday January 11th 2023 at 5:30 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a 2 vehicle motor vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Cty Tk K and Donegal Rd in the Town of Erin. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and personnel from Richfield Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene.

Washington County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for the public’s assistance in apprehending an alleged dangerous wanted fugitive. Willie B. Johnson, thirty-eight years, old is wanted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Corrections for his alleged attack on a female companion that occurred over a several day period leading up to Christmas

On 12/31/2022 at 1:24pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center began receiving 911 calls regarding a garage on fire on Nabob Dr in the Town of West Bend. The occupants of the house and nearby house had all evacuated. Deputies and Allenton Fire were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

On November 7, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office joined with the Washington County Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force, Germantown Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol, to conduct a focused patrol with the intention of locating criminal activity. A total of 51 traffic stops were made.

On 10/30/2022 at 12:55pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center took a report of a truck that had gone through a cornfield, hit an embankment and struck a tree in the area of Glacier Dr and Cty Hy D. The caller reported that airbags were deployed and that the single occupant appeared to have a head injury. West Bend Rescue, Kewaskum Rescue, Kohlsville First Responders and Sheriff’s Office Deputies were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

Kerontae Pickens, a thirty-four-year-old City of Milwaukee man was charged in Washington County Circuit Court on Thursday, October 27, 2022 with twelve felony counts for selling cocaine and fentanyl to undercover officers on three separate occasions since September of this year.

Seventeen-year-old Bryan Seban of the Town of Polk was charged with twenty-seven felony charges including exposing a child to harmful material, invasion of privacy with a surveillance device, and possession of child sexual abuse material, on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Washington County Circuit Court. These charges stem from Seban allegedly taking photos and videos of juvenile females while they were changing in a bathroom at his residence, without their knowledge or consent, utilizing cellular devices and a peephole. Many of Seban’s high school acquaintances would frequently swim at his house and the victimization would occur while they were changing in or out of swimming attire.

On October 23, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple motorcycle crashes with serious injuries.

On September 28, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into alleged videos and still imagery that were taken without the knowledge or consent of at least ten juvenile female victims at a private residence in Washington County.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is releasing name of the deceased operator from the September 25th crash on County Trunk M;

On Sunday September 25th 2022 at 4:11 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of what was first reported as a possible hit and run crash in the 7900 block of Cty Tk M in the Town of Farmington. The incident was reported by a utility technician that had responded to the area due to a report of a broken utility pole. The technician had located the vehicle that had struck the pole and reported that it was unoccupied.

On 09/23/2022 at 6:52pm, the Washington County Communication Center received multiple phone calls regard a motorcycle vs SUV crash on Hwy 33 at Hy 41 in Allenton, WI. The callers stated that the motorcycle was occupied by two individuals and that they were both conscious but that one had a head injury. The driver of the SUV was also on scene. Allenton Fire and Rescue and Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were subsequently dispatched to the scene, as well as an additional ambulance from West Bend Fire and Rescue.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the Village of Slinger on Industrial Drive just south of STH 60 at around 7:00 am on 9/16/22. The incident occurred after two Wisconsin State Patrol troopers conducted a traffic stop on a forty-one-year-old Village of Slinger man. This case is still evolving and we are limited in what we can release at this time as the investigation progresses, however, in the interest of transparency we are releasing the following preliminary information.

On August 9, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Washington County Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force, the Germantown Police Department, and the Hartford Police Department to conduct a focused patrol. The intention was to proactively locate criminal activity. A total of 75 traffic stops were made and 17 vehicles were searched based upon probable cause of criminal activity.

On today’s date, August 9th, at 5:39 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from a witness of a train vs. car crash. The crash occurred on the Canadian National (CN) Railway located at the crossing of Hwy DW near Ohio Road in the town of Addison. Prior to sheriff’s office arrival, the communications center contacted CN and advised them of the vehicle striking a car near the end of their train. CN was not aware of the crash but did stop immediately after our notification was made.

The investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office into the multi-vehicle accident that occurred near the intersection of STH 164 and Elmwood Rd in the Village of Richfield on June 28, 2022 has culminated with the arrest of a 31-year-old Horicon man.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at approximately 8:33 a.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a garage fire in the 4800 block of Mueller Lane in the Town of Polk. The homeowner reported that a vehicle in the garage was on fire and spreading to the structure.

Forty two year old Ryan Paxton and his 33-year-old old girlfriend Stephanie Doll, both of the City of Hartford, are now both charged in Washington County Circuit Court on felony charges of smuggling illegal contraband into the Washington County Jail after a several-month-long investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 7:53 this morning after the caller found that her elderly husband, who suffers from dementia and limited mobility, had walked away from their home. The property is located in the Kettle Moraine Forest off of Kettle Moraine Drive in the Town of Kewaskum.

On Saturday July 9, 2022 the Washington County Sheriff's Office was notified the operator of the motorcycle died as a result of injuries he sustained from the crash. This is the 9th traffic fatality the Sheriff's Office has investigated this year

On Friday July 8, 2022 at 8:09pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a traffic crash involving a motorcycle on US 45 traveling southbound, south of CTH PV. Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers and Jackson Fire & Rescue was dispatched and responded to the scene.

On June 6, 2022 at approximately 2:35 p.m., an on-duty Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was traveling southbound on Hwy 45 near Timblin Dr. in the Village of Kewaskum when he observed a northbound vehicle strike a pedestrian crossing Hwy 45 in the area of Prospect Dr.

On Monday July 4, 2022 at approximately 10:37pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a fire in the 5500 block of E. Waterford Rd in the Town of Erin. The homeowner/caller, who was on scene, reported there was an ATV on fire that was parked near the residence.

A month-long drug investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force culminated yesterday with two search warrants being conducted by the drug task force, the City of Hartford Police Department, and other Washington County Sheriff’s investigators. The first was at a residence on Court Drive in the City of Hartford and the second was at a storage facility in the Town of Polk. Authorities found cocaine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during the searches. A 38-year-old City of Hartford woman is now in custody. Her 31-year-old brother was also arrested during the execution of the search warrant on outstanding felony warrants unrelated to the investigation after he attempted to flee the residence.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the 6th and 7th traffic fatalities of 2022. On Wednesday, June 22 at 5:42 a.m. the Washington County Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 164 and Elmwood Road in the Village of Richfield. One of the callers reported that occupants of a southbound vehicle had severe injuries and were unconscious.

On Friday June 17th 2022 at approximately 12:16 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential fire in the 3400 block of Town Line Rd in the Town of Polk. This residence was the same home that sustained damage due to a fire in the late evening hours of Wednesday June 15th 2022. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received multiple calls on the fire within the period of only a few minutes. The first caller reported observing both flames and smoke coming from the residence.

On Wednesday June 15th 2022 at approximately 10:24 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential fire in the 3400 block of Town Line Rd in the Town of Polk. The caller on scene reported that she believed there was a fire in the ceiling of the residence and that smoke was visible in the home.

On Wednesday June 15th 2022 at approximately 8:45 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential fire in the 5400 block of Hideaway Circle in the Town of Wayne. The initial caller on scene reported that there was a fire in the attached garage of the residence and that active flames were observed coming from the roof.

On 06-06-2022 at approximately 2:35pm, an on-duty Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was traveling southbound on Hy 45 near Timblin Dr in the Village of Kewaskum when he observed a northbound vehicle strike a pedestrian crossing Hy 45 in the area of Prospect Dr. The Deputy immediately notified dispatch of the crash, activated his emergency lights, and began rendering aid to the injured subject. A second Washington County squad was also very close and began assisting. Kewaskum Rescue and the Kewaskum Police Department were also dispatched to the scene.

On Friday, June 3, 2022, at 7:51pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a traffic crash in front of the Piggly Wiggly grocery store at 1234 Hwy 175 in the Village of Richfield. The initial caller reported a motorcycle had struck a pole in the road right of way. Deputies responded to the scene along with Richfield Fire and Rescue.

On Tuesday May 24th 2022 at approximately 12:31 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential fire in the 3400 block of North Shore Drive in the Village of Richfield. The initial caller on scene reported that the rear deck of the residence was on fire and that flames and smoke were visible. The first responding deputy reported that the fire had spread from the deck and into the rear of the residence.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the following information pursuant to WI Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense.

On Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, at 3:40 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an erratic driver, which ended up driving in the oncoming lane of Highway 33 near the West Bend Airport. The vehicle crashed head on with another vehicle. Deputies responded along with West Bend Police, and personnel from West Bend Fire Department.

On Wednesday April 20th 2022 at approximately 2:23 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a structure fire in the 5100 block of Hy 83 in the Town of Addison. The initial caller on scene reported that a detached garage was on fire and that flames and smoke were visible. The first responding deputy reported that he observed active flames and that the fire was contained to the detached garage south of the residence.

Over the past month, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has experienced several daytime residential burglaries. The main target of these criminals is cash and jewelry. These have occurred in the Village of Richfield, Town of West Bend, Village of Slinger, as well as several other surrounding counties. Washington County Sheriff’s detectives are working collaboratively with law enforcement partners throughout southeast Wisconsin to bring those responsible to justice.

WEST BEND, WI - Washington County sheriff’s deputies were involved in a fatal police pursuit in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The incident began at 12:29 a.m. after a deputy stopped a vehicle on Interstate 41 near Holy Hill Road in the Village of Germantown. The vehicle was initially stopped because the registered owner of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license. The deputy identified the driver as a 27-year-old man from Milwaukee and the passenger as an 18-year-old Milwaukee man. During the first contact with the occupants, the deputy observed a Glock handgun case on the front floorboard of the vehicle.

On March 27, 2022 at 12:56pm, the Washington County Communication Center took a report of a vehicle striking a tree in the 3900 block of Holy Hill Rd in the Village of Richfield. The caller checked the vehicle and found that the airbags were deployed and that the single occupant driver was barely conscious. Washington County Deputies and Richfield Fire were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a single vehicle, fatal crash that occurred on I-41 in the Town of Addison. On today’s date, at approximately 7:55AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center began taking calls of a white van off the roadway and against a tree. As deputies responded to the area of I-41 southbound, north of Hwy DW, callers provided additional updates of injuries.
