Washington County Again Assigned AAA Moody’s Bond Rating                     

West Bend, WI – Moody’s Investors Service again assigned Washington County a AAA bond rating, the best a local government can achieve. This rating provides the lowest interest options to the county, an advantage when borrowing funds as it holds down interest costs on long-lived assets that are debt funded. Proceeds from the notes will finance remodeling of county buildings and road projects.

Per Moody’s release, their credit view reflects the county’s strong and stable financial position and modest long-term leverage. Moody’s indicated that the sale of Samaritan Campus nursing facility strengthened the county’s position.
