On June 6, 2022 at approximately 2:35 p.m., an on-duty Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was traveling southbound on Hwy 45 near Timblin Dr. in the Village of Kewaskum when he observed a northbound vehicle strike a pedestrian crossing Hwy 45 in the area of Prospect Dr.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has been notified the pedestrian in this incident succumbed to his injuries on June 24, 2022 as result of the crash. This crash was the 8th traffic fatality the Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigated in 2022.
