(WEST BEND, WI) – County Executive Josh Schoemann has appointed Matt Furno as the new Samaritan Campus Administrator to replace outgoing administrator Taya Walk, who submitted her resignation effective September 30, 2022.

Furno was previously the Campus Administrator from 2013 – 2016 and is currently the Policy Director for Washington County. In his new role at Samaritan, Furno will serve as Campus Administrator and Policy Director.

Prior to his tenure at Washington County, Furno had a lengthy career in executive leadership in long-term care throughout Wisconsin. As the new administrator, he will continue to lead the team through the ‘Future of Samaritan’ decision.

“Matt Furno has shown his care and commitment to Samaritan staff and patients throughout his time with Washington County since 2013. I appreciate his willingness to step in to lead,” said Schoemann. “I extend my thanks to Taya Walk for her service, and we wish her the best in her next role.”
