NOTICE:

In compliance with the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision in Senne v. Village of Palatine, 695F3d597 (7th Circuit, 2012), and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (“DPPA”), 18 U.S.C. §2721 et.seq., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is no longer releasing personal information under the DPPA unless it falls under a permissible use. Personal information obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles, including an individual’s date of birth, drivers license number, social security number, home address, telephone number, photograph and medical or disability information is prohibited from disclosure unless one of the permissible uses applies. Permissible uses are listed in 18 U.S.C. 2721 (b).

12-29-25-Structure Fire
12/29/2025
On Monday, December 29, 2025, at 9:10am the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a detached garage on fire, on St. Killian Drive in the Town of Wayne. The homeowners were on scene attempting to extinguish the fire with the use of a water hose. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and arrived at 9:17am. On first arrival, a large pile of firewood under the shed overhang and near the outdoor woodstove, was fully engulfed, with the flames entering the rafters/attic of the shed. Prior to fire personnel arriving on scene, the homeowners and Sheriff’s Office deputies removed personal property from the shed.

Fatal Vehicle Crash 25-44846

On Friday December 12, 2025, at 10:53 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a semi vs van crash at the intersection of Division Road at Spring Valley Road in the Town of Jackson.

On December 9, 2025 at approximately 1:48 am, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a house fire at a single family residence in the 1700 block of Terry Dale Court in the Town of Trenton.

11/29/2025 Ski Lift Power Outage
11/29/2025
On 11/29/2025 at 5:36pm, Sunburst Ski Hill located at 8355 Prospect Drive in the Town of Kewaskum contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center stating that they had suffered a partial power outage resulting in a chair lift becoming immobilized with riders on board. Staff and Ski Patrol were already working on rescue efforts, however they requested the Kewaskum Fire Department for additional manpower. Fire personnel and Deputies were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

11/23/2025 Structure Fire 25-42602
11/23/2025
On Sunday November 23, 2025 at approximately 12:00pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a barn fire on Decorah Road in the Town of Trenton. The caller reported hearing an explosion before seeing smoke and flames coming from the structure.
