Case: Illegal Videos Investigation - 22-31501
Authority: Lieutenant of Detectives Tim Kemps
On September 28, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into alleged videos and still imagery that were taken without the knowledge or consent of at least ten juvenile female victims at a private residence in Washington County.
The suspect is a 17-year-old male who had been capturing the harmful material over the past year. The suspect was a student at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School at the time of the offenses but is no longer enrolled at the school. It is believed that all of the unlawful material was captured at a private residence. Washington County Sheriff’s investigators have worked closely with the Kettle Moraine Lutheran administration as well as several other school districts to help identify and notify the victims. The suspect is cooperating with investigators and was booked and released from the Washington County Jail pending necessary follow-up.
Numerous felony charges are anticipated to be forwarded to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office in the next couple of weeks. We are releasing limited information at this time because this is still an active ongoing process and for consideration to the victims and their families. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with our educational partners appreciates everyone respecting the victim’s privacy in this sensitive matter.
