County Executive Schoemann to Proclaim “Nick Rusher Day”

West Bend, WI – County Executive Josh Schoemann will present a proclamation declaring it “Nick Rusher Day” in Washington County on Tuesday, September 3 at the Cedar Lake Yacht Club.

Nick won a Bronze medal for the USA Men’s 8 competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics on August 3. Some of his family and friends will gather to congratulate him on his victory and see his Olympic medal.

The Rusher family has a successful legacy in the sport of rowing, with Nick’s parents and sisters rowing at the collegiate and Olympic level. Parents Cindy and Jack are both two-time Olympians in 1988 and 1992, sister Kay rowed on a varsity boat at Stanford University, and sister Alie rowed for the United States at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
