The Opening of Sandy Paws

Sandy Paws Dog Park presented by West Bend Fleet Farm and made possible by the Stockhausen Family located in Sandy Knoll County Park is now open. Sandy Paws will be the second dog park for Washington County Parks fully funded by contributions from the community. Homestead Howl presented by J.W. Speaker Corporation made possible by the Kressin Family opened two years ago in Homestead Howl County Park.

“This is an amazing example of our Parks Fiscal Sustainability Plan in action,” said County Executive Josh Schoemann. “We are actively working to bring our park users improved amenities without adding costs for property tax payers. We are truly humbled by the community support for this project specifically Curt & Dale Stockhausen, West Bend Fleet Farm and all of our business sponsors. Recreation activities have always been important to our community and are even more critical to our quality of life now given their ability to allow for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
