Washington County Golf Course Clubhouse Expansion

WEST BEND, Wis. This month, the Washington County Board approved an expansion plan concept for the Washington County Golf Course (WCGC) as part of its Capital Improvement Planning.

The project includes clubhouse remodeling and an addition to house golf simulators and will now head to a final design phase. The final scope of the project has not yet been finalized.  WCGC will host a community engagement workshop on Tuesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. seeking feedback from its golf community on the plan.

“Adding indoor simulators to our golf course will elevate player development programs, enhance club fittings, and offer simulator play rain or shine,” said Craig Czerniejewski. WCGC PGA Head Professional. “We have an industry-leading practice facility and short course, and additional indoor space is needed to provide a comprehensive golfing experience.”

WCGC has a fully funded long-term maintenance plan.  A recommendation to include borrowing is based on financial best practices to sustain WCGC’s cashflow and spread the cost appropriately over time.

Last month, Washington County Golf Course was named a Top 50 public golf course in the U.S. again and announced a new partnership with Next 18 to use its premier recreational facility to support its objectives on Veterans and Mental Health.
