On Monday, August 19th, 2024, at 2:50PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash located on Hy 41 south bound, north of Mohawk Rd. in the Town of Wayne. Deputies responded along with personnel from Wisconsin State Patrol, Kewaskum Fire, Kohlsville Fire, and West Bend Intercept.

The first vehicle was operated by a 20 year old female from the city of West Bend. The second vehicle was operated by a 65 year old male from Green Bay. The female driver rear ended the male driver as traffic was slowing for construction. The female driver, along with the three other passengers in her vehicle were transported to area hospitals. A male passenger in her vehicle sustained a leg injury. All the other injuries were minor.

Hy 41 south bound had to be shut down at Hy 28 for about an hour to facilitate rescue, tows, and crash clean up. Although the crash remains under investigation, it appears the female driver had been speeding and driving recklessly.
