CASE: Fatal Motorcycle Crash 21-25087

On Friday July 23, 2021 at 6:58 PM the Washington County Dispatch Center was notified of a motorcycle crash on STH 175 in the curve just south of Fork Rd, in the Town of Addison. The caller reported that the operator of the motorcycle was in the ditch unconscious.    

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the St. Lawrence Fire Department Responded to the scene.  The operator, a 61 year old male, Washington County resident was pronounced deceased on scene. 

The initial investigation indicated that the motorcycle was traveling southbound on STH 175 south of Fork Rd. and failed to negotiate the curve. The motorcycle went off road right and struck a highway warning post, then came to rest in the ditch. The operator was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.

The motorcycle operators name is not being released at this time.
